Elizabeth Heather Engel

Born in Cardiff 1956, educated in Whitchurch, Cardiff and later the Forest of Dean.  Returning to Penarth in 1987 where we raised our family, I returned to further education at Coleg Glan Hafren and UWIC in 1995. 

Graduating in 2001 with a BA Hons degree in Art and Aesthetics. I taught patchwork in Severn Road Adult Education Centre, Canton, Cardiff and was artist in residence at Ty Teify, Maerdy, Rhondda.  In 2007 we relocated to the Forest of Dean.  Here I continue to create textiles for the home, together with garden sculptures.  Drawing is very much an integral part of my work.
