If you want to become part of the Cardiff Drawing Group - getting involved is the only way.
Come along to one of the events listed on the events page - It doesn't matter what your 'skill' level is - the point of the group is to encourage people to draw and to talk about it. The group has people from all sorts of backgrounds - but its about anyone who likes to draw and enjoys good company - amateur and professional. Generally we do 'free' events - but sometimes there may be a small fee to cover costs, such as for a model - check with the person running the event. The turnout for events, be it a workshop, in a pub, on a beach, etc. varies enormously from 2 to 20-ish. Occasionally numbers are limited, so again, its best to email the event organiser to check. Keep an eye on the the Events Calendar page, it gets updated. Suggest an event and venue of your own if you want - just make yourself known. The more you get involved, the more you are known.

How the group works
There is no formal membership: our philosophy is 'the more the merrier' and in practice you'll get out of it what you put in - but remember, it's a DRAWING group and there is an interest in pushing the boundaries of what drawing might be, where we can - it's all a learning process.
As a group, we do of course have to pay for this webspace and its continuing expansion, so a fee of £5 is payable in order to have a web page here and to have the password for the FORUM - enquire through the Contact page.
Involvement and willingness to organise events flows from individual commitment. It's the only thing that keeps the group rolling along and constantly evolving - without it, there is no group.
By spreading the organisation throughout the group we keep things collaborative, simple, energetic and focused on drawing.
Everyone's involvement in this group is entirely self selecting - we're all busy - and we do what we can.
