Drawing has an immediacy and freedom that allows me to explore the visual world.
There are no restrictions, movement and feeling create the marks, the materials all contribute a unique and often unexpected quality which I can explore and develop as I choose.
Since studying art at Sheffield in the mid 1980’s and working for years in design, I now mainly paint seascapes, however it is drawing that allows me to unravel my own story from an idea to an often different or unknown conclusion.  It helps me find my way.
